Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Granpudú collects through this website and the hosting services it offers, how it is used, and what choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

1 — Who we are

Granpudú is a web hosting club represented by Mauricio Espinoza. For any question about your personal data, write to info@granpudu.com.

2 — What data we collect

a) Contact form: your name, email address, the plan you are interested in (if any) and the message you write.

b) When you request or contract a plan: your domain name, your billing details and the data needed to create and manage your account.

c) Technical data: like most websites, our servers record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it to keep the service running and secure.

d) Content of hosted websites: if you are a client, the files, databases and emails you store on our servers are processed only to provide the service. We do not use them for any other purpose.

3 — How we use your data

We use your data to answer your messages, set up and manage your hosting account, bill the service, provide support, protect the security of our servers, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

4 — Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers we need to operate: the infrastructure and hosting providers that run our servers, and the email services we use to communicate with you. We may also share information with the relevant authorities when the law requires it or in the cases described in clause Sixth of our Terms and Conditions.

This website loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When you open a page, your browser connects to Google’s servers to download it, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

5 — Cookies and browser storage

This website uses only what is needed to work. Your light or dark display preference and your language choice are saved in your own browser and are not sent to our servers. We do not use advertising cookies.

6 — International transfers

Our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside Chile and Australia. When that happens, we only work with providers that offer reasonable safeguards for the data they handle.

7 — How long we keep your data

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of our conversation.

Client account and billing data is kept while the service is active and afterwards for the time required by accounting and legal obligations.

The content of your hosted website is available for 30 days after the service ends and can then be permanently deleted, as described in clause Twelfth of our Terms and Conditions.

8 — Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, keeping your own backups and keeping your applications up to date remain the client’s responsibility.

9 — Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a given purpose. Write to the address above and we will answer as soon as possible. The specific rights that apply to you depend on the law of the country where you live (Chile or Australia), and you may also have the right to complain to the privacy authority of that country.

10 — Children

Our services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11 — Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown below. If a change is significant, we will notify our clients by email.
